Text Description: Outcrop of shelly basalt overriding agglutinate on Tanada Cinder Cone at Site 15. Fine grained, weakly vesicular, holocrystalline, porphyritic with a matrix of mesostasis, opaque, olivine, and pyroxene?. Plagioclase phenocrysts are up to 0.48 mm, and most are small laths; larger grains may be rounded or have sieve textured zones. Olivine phenocrysts are up to 0.85 mm, occasionally have skeletal habits, some have resorption embayments, opaque inclusions, some are slightly altered. Orthopyroxene? phenocrysts up to 0.1 mm.
