Text Description: Wrangell Lava. Basalt and andesite dikes. Small, usually less than 2 m thick, nearly vertical dikes, often occurring in closely spaced subparallel sets. Chiefly fine-grained, nonporphyritic olivine basalt and hypersthene andesite. Locally glassy, particularly at selvage. Locally pronounced columnar jointing, perpendicular to dip. Dikes almost certainly represent more than one episode of intrusion, perhaps widely separate in time.
