Text Description: Rhyodacite Dome. Dissected hornblende rhyodacite dome probably related in age to rhyolite domes (Qrd) of first-cycle volcanic activity. Rock is light to medium gray and porphyritic with phenocrysts (2-5 mm) of brown hornblende, plagioclase, and rare to common hypersthene, biotite, and augite in a felty to trachytic groundmass.
