Text Description: | Kaguyak Ignimbrite. Grey-brown sandy, small pumice and lithic-rich ignimbrite with conspicuous 2-m-thick LCZ near top of exposure. LCZ has 50-70 volume% lithics. Exposed thickness 6-8 m. no PCZs. LCZ: 2 m. See text for MC and ML. Pumice clasts: mostly white or light pumice, but scoria and banded pumice are present. Lithic clasts: all clasts are grey andesite-dacite lavas; a significant fraction are altered or have orange-brown alteration rinds. |
