Text Description: | Kaguyak Ignimbrite. tall bluffs of ignimbrite; lower 10 m of exposure is massive ignimbrite, but there are 7 well-defined PCZ zones in the upper 2/3 of the section as well as a few less-well defined zones. Exposed thickness 25-30 m. PCZs 0.75-1.5 m. LCZ: 0.75-1.5 m. See text for MC and ML. Pumice clasts: white to buff pumice most common, but grey scoria is present, and there is abundant banded pumice here; markedly more than at other locations. Lithic clasts: most lithics are grey dacite lava; there is a minor amount of clasts with yellow-orange altered rinds or films |
