Text Description: | Kaguyak ignimbrite. Grey ignimbrite, mostly massive but for 4 lithic lag layers, 5 PCZ horizons are present, too. Ignimbrite is overlain by stratified pumiceous sediments; both top of ignimbrite (4-5 m) and sediments have ochre orange brown oxidation. Exposed thickness 25-30 m. PCZ: 0.25-1 m. LCZ: 2 m. See text for MP and ML. Pumice clasts: mostly grey pumice; scattered scoriae. Lithic clasts: mostly dark grey crystal rich dacite lavas. |
