Text Description: | Scoria bomb in mafic ignimbrite. Ignimbrite is 20 m thick w/ zones of coarse scoria bombs to 70 cm in 1.5 m thick layers separated by sandy ash. Fisher source???| field lithology: basaltic andesite| vent type: | dist. to summit in km: -- | series: LRB (removed stats)|azimuth -- Schaefer et al. reinterpret this unit as reworked volcaniclastics and not an ignimbrite. The chemistry matches that of other Pleistocene lavas and Holocene cinder cones and it is not noted or exposed elsewhere. We interpret it as upper flank lahar deposits containing reworked volcaniclastics. | ||||||||||
