Text Description: Hlo - Lava Point older lava flows. Physically similar to younger flow (Hly) but consists of a number of flows that were erupted at about the same time. Rock is a dark gray, porphyritic andesite (57.2% SiO2) containing phenocrysts of plagioclase (5-10%, 2 mm), clinopyroxene (1-4%, 2 mm), and olivine (trace) in a pilotaxitic groundmass.
