| Text Description: | S side Drift R valley SE of moraine of Drift River Lobe of Double Glacier. Part of prismatically jointed block from 4/4 lahar deposit.. Several pieces of p.j. dome block. xl rich hb-px-pl andesite. Diffuse banding notable from 40grey to 5grey (from a distance rock is average 20grey). Unclear w/out t.s. what the origin of banding is. May be just glass rich and xl rich zones. (That would still indicate differential movement and shear w/in magma?) |
