Text Description: Fine-grained to very fine-grained, dark-gray (N 3), porphyritic andesite (S; high-silica andesite G) containing common very light-gray (N 8) phenocrysts of plagioclase. Major minerals are plagioclase (An 65), clinopyroxene, and sparse orthopyroxene. Pilotaxic groundmass contains weakly flow foliated plagioclase laths and glass. Rare altered phenocrysts have been olivine, otherwise rock is fresh appearing
