Text Description: | 52-Sn-100 (Rittmann: rhyodacite) is from a very light-colored podlike body about 200 yards wide, exposed 4.8 miles west of the mouth of Kanaga Bay on the south coast of Kanaga Island. This was the only light rhyodacite found in the Delarof-Kanaga area. Quartz, oligoclase, and biotite are present in the white to light-green glassy matrix (n~1.476) which makes up about 85 percent of the rock. |
