| Text Description: | Hand sample; >20g. Sample of lava flow that can be traced to NW crater rim; blocky with preserved levees; must be Holocene?; host of enclave of WES024. Dense 35% black lava. plag ~ cpx > ol. ~30% phenocrysts fairly equigranular from~0.5 -2 mm. Gms sugary, appears holocrystalline. Cleanest of '09 samples from this unit. |
