Alaska Volcano Observatory

Sample from southwest flank 610’ asl. Fine grained, nearly aphyric. Fine-grained basaltic andesite dominated by 0.3 x 0.1 mm plagioclase laths with intergranular pyroxene and microcrystalline material. Rare microphenocrysts of plagioclase and olivine.
