Text Description: Sample from immediately east of young flank flow sampled at 88VS17, 18, and 21. 1300’ asl. Atypically coarse plagioclase phenocrysts. Sparsely porphyritic basaltic andesite with phenocrysts of plagioclase (7%, 1.3 x 0.4 mm) in a fine-grained groundmass of plagioclase laths (150 x 50 microns) with interstitial pyroxene, microcrystalline material, and sparse glass. Sparse olivine microphenocrysts.
