Text Description: Sample from southwest flank 1150’ asl. Larger plagioclase phenocrysts than nearby lavas. Sparsely porphyritic basaltic andesite. Phenocrysts of plagioclase (10%, typically unreacted and 0.6 x 0.3 mm, but with sparse larger crystals which are spongy throughout with thin clear rims) and sparse clinopyroxene up to 0.3 mm diameter. Intersertal groundmass dominated by 80 micron long plagioclase laths.––
