Text Description: West side of Spotted Glacier at 3620 ft elevation. Sample from top of cliff several hundred feet tall. Surface has been glaciated. Porphyritic two-pyroxene andesite. ~40% phenocrysts of plagioclase (up to 1.4 x 0.5 mm), pyroxene (0.8 x 0.3 mm), and opaque Fe-Ti oxides in a matrix of devitrified glass and subordinate microphenocrysts and microlites.
