| Text Description: | Sample from isolated outcrop just below striped glacier. Porphyritic olivine-bearing two-pyroxene andesite. Phenocrysts of plagioclase (20%, up to 1.3 x 0.5 mm), both clino- and orthopyroxene (10%, typically 0.6 x 0.2 mm), and euhedral, chromite-bearing olivine (5%, up to 1.4 x 0.4 mm) in a matrix of devitrified glass and subordinate microphenocrysts and microlites. | ||||||||||
