Alaska Volcano Observatory

Plutonic rock from north side of Fourpeaked Glacier. Quartz monzodiorite countryrock. About 40% euhedral plagioclase (up to 1.7 x 1 mm), 15% pale green amphibole, 45% interstitial quartz and feldspar intergrowths, and minor opaque oxides.
