Text Description: Sample from ice contact lava exposed at the ice edge in small valley 7 km directly east and downslope from Douglas summit. Porphyritic andesite containing roughly equal amounts of sub-millimeter sized plagioclase and pyroxene in a glassy to devitrified microlite-rich groundmass.
