Text Description: Sample from outcrop at ~3000 ft on ridge dividing upper Spotted Glacier and striped glacier. Porphyritic two-pyroxene andesite. Phenocrysts of plagioclase (35%, up to 0.9 x 0.4 mm), pyroxene (10%, typically 0.5 x 0.2 mm), and subordinate chromite-bearing olivine in a matrix of devitrified glass and subordinate microphenocrysts and microlites.
