Text Description: Sampled from a 2-3 cm pink-white, fine- to medium-grained tephra layer in a sandstone unit with coal stringers. There are fine coal stringers immediately above and below CG11 . About 30% delicate-looking bubblewall shards and slightly altered pumice fragments, and 5-7% plagioclase. Few grains are zoned or twinned. Trace quartz with undulose extinction, volcanic rock fragments, hornblende, zircon, and organic material.
