Text Description: FC10 is 4 cm thick, fine-grained, pink-gray in color, and mostly glass. The coal above FC10 is hard and the boundary is sharp. FC10 is from the base of a 165 cm coal bed, the S-seam of Barnes and Cobb (1959). There is a very thin, disseminated pumice parting 40 cm from the peaty top of the coal. No thin section was made.
