| Text Description: | Sample of black, angular, iridescent scoria within a brown, silty sand surge unit next to cone B lava flow. Scoria crumbles to 1-2cm size pieces and is coated with the brown silty sand. This unit is slightly indurated and there are some angular lithics up to 4cm dispersed throughout. Unit is predominantly silty-sand with scattered angular scoria. |
