| Text Description: | Lava sample E of Crater Creek mouth at beach level. Flow extends into water and is beneath a cliff-forming outcrop of Okmok I pf. Okmok I pf here has dacite inclusions in top indurated pf. Lava is gray, mostly aphyric lava with 1% visible plag. Rubbly aa flow texture at base of outcrop. Dense part sampled. Vesicular zones run out into water. Likely a package of subaerial flows. Cliff of lava about 6m high. |
