Text Description: Thickness of 1-5 cm. Consists of a yellowish-gray silt- and clay-size material and a small amount of fine-grained sand. Distinctive features include the small glass content (33-55%), considerably large plagioclase content (24-28%) and 8-10% lithic debris. In addition to pyroxenes, the ash also contains green (9%) and brown (6%) hornblendes.
