Text Description: Cream-pink (10YR7/2 to 10YR7/3) ash that is found in pods whose long axis is often vertically or steeply inclined. Interbedded with soliflucted, oxidation streaked grey and tan (2.5Y6/4) silt with charcoal flecks. Maximum thickness of 1.7 cm and contains charcoal flecks, some dark brown peaty blebs, and is mottled. Usually blurred contacts with the surrounding loess. Occurs above the LW tephra.
