Text Description: Prominent, 20-cm-thick bed in the uppermost part of the stratified sediments. It has a silty loam texture with abundant chunky and platy glass shards as well as pumice fragments. Conspicuous minerals include feldspar, hypersthene, biotite, hornblende, magnetite and ilmenite; minor minerals include apatite and a pink zircon.
