Text Description: | Maximum thickness of 1 cm; 0.5 m of olive-brown silt overlying 0.5 m of black silt overlying gravel. Light grey tephra layer occurs as repeating, discontinuous pods and whisps in lowermost part of olivebrown silt. UT1459, UT1460, and UT1461 are samples from different pods. From Preece et al. (2011): rare blocky shards, and rare bubble-wall shards. |
