Text Description: Not a visible tephra layer: cryptotephra. 28–32 cm depth in core. Colourless, pumiceous and highly vesicular glass shards, the median diameter of the shards being 30 microns. Even shards <20 microns in diameter are highly vesicular with micrometre-thin bubble walls.
