Text Description: Sample collected by E. Hauri and K. Hauri. Highly vesicular lapilli and bombs from basal Pakushin, a large parasitic cinder cone on the southern flank of Makushin volcano. Clast size 2-20 cm. Two populations of olivine are apparent under the binocular micrscope, one clear and one with oxides. Map unit Qpf (McConnell et al., 1998). Yielded olivine- and clinopyroxene-hosted melt inclusions; most melt inclusions from olivines contain oxides.
