| Text Description: | Sample collected by K. Grover. Basaltic andesite tephra, from Akutan tephra section in Hot Spring Bay. Phenocrysts of plagioclase, clinopyroxene, and orthopyroxene. Clast size <1-6 cm, most 2-3 cm. Map unit Qtu (Richter et al., 1998). Yielded clinopyroxene-hosted melt inclusions. |
