Description: From Beget and others (2002): "Another notable eruption from Shishaldin occurred about 9,000 years ago. This eruption deposited more than 2 meters of pumiceous and scoriaceous tephra near the volcano. Deposits from this eruption are about 3 centimeters thick in Cold Bay, Alaska, about 95 kilometers northeast of the summit vent."
