Mr. Holm stated that during July or August of 1965 he was setnetting in Chief Cove, at the northern side of Uyak Bay. One day he went up Shelikof Strait, and as they passed Cape Ugat (on the western side of Kodiak Island, he could see a steam plume coming from at or near the summit of Fourpeaked. Mr. Holm reports that the plume was about the same height as the mountain is tall, from his perspective. He did not notice any ash on the snow, or any discoloration in the plume.
