A zoomed in photo of an undated pyroclastic deposit near the southern edge of the newly formed volcaniclastic debris flow fan deposit from the 2001 eruption. Geologic hammer for scale. Some larger clasts of are visible within the deposit. There was some strength to the deposit suggesting some possible welding of the pyroclastic material.
