Description: From Motyka (1983): "Mount Wrangell was climbed in July 1908 by R. Dunn and W. Soule. Dunn (1909) reported considerable venting of vapor from the depths of the West Crater with plumes rising from 2 to 3 km above the crater. All that was visible of the North Crater were the peaks located on the west rim, the remainder of the crater apparently being snow covered."
