Description: Jones (1952) reported that during April, 1951, "on a moonlit night, glow was reflected high above Shishaldin volcano, the most active vent on Unimak Island." He also reports that during July, 1951, Shishaldin was "throwing fire and glowing" and glowing during September and early October.
