Text Description: Southern end of Jaeger Mesa. Flow appears to be "bending down" where it flows to lower elevation. Sample taken from near flow top. Sample is nearly aphyric, but a rare plagioclase microphenocryst is visible in a sugary blue-gray groundmass. Vesicular up to 4 mm. Smaller vesicles are rounded, but vesicles become increasingly ellipsoidal with increase in diameter. References: ![]() |
