Text Description:
Columnar jointed outcrop on the north side of Fossil Creek at Site 7. Fine-grained, holocrystalline, porphyritic with a matrix of plagioclase, quartz, opaque, apatite?, and biotite or amphibole? Plagioclase phenocrysts (An36) are up to 0.45 mm. Opaque phenocrysts are up to 0.1 mm. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.1 mm.
