Text Description: Inclusion in 94SJP104A (nD2). Fine grained, vesicular, holocrystalline, seriate porphyritic with a matrix of opaque and plagioclase. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An37 - An63) are up to 2.0 mm and commonly have sieve textured zones, resorbed rims, normal or oscillatory zoning. Amphibole phenocrysts are up to 1.5 mm and have dehydrated rims that are opaque. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 1.75 mm. References: ![]() |
