Flow underlying 94SJP37 at Site 3. The flow is 30’ thick and above an extensive red baked zone on top of silicic vitrophyre. Flow is cut through by dike 94SJP39. Fine-grained, holocrystalline, intergranular, seriate porphyritic with a matrix of mesostasis, opaque, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene, yellow alteration and calcite. Plagioclase phenocrysts (An35 - An57) are up to 1.85 mm and some have complex zoning and sieve textured cores or intermediate zones. Orthopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 1.0 mm and some have clinopyroxene rims, sieve textured with opaque inclusions or plagioclase inclusions. Clinopyroxene phenocrysts are up to 0.15 mm.
