Text Description:
Surface pavement of avg 2-5cm clasts; 3 different clasts types; Tephra bombs surface only; this sample dense dark gray glassy clast. Beneath surface bombs/lapilli is a 40+ layer (did not dig to bottom) of fine sand well-sorted tephra; brownish on top 10cm; transitioning to dark gray below.
