Sample ID:17JFLPV017C
Station ID:17JFLPV017
Latitude:55.45253
Longitude:-161.94825
Datum:NAD83
Date Sampled:2017-07-23
Sample Type 1:Lava
Sample Type 2:Juvenile
Field Lithology:Basaltic Andesite
Text Description:
Four separate samples from the dense interior of a 2013 lava flow. These samples are significantly
different in hand sample petrography than those from the 2014 and 2016 eruption deposits. The clasts are medium grey in groundmass color. Pyroxene is more abundant, at 10 to 15 % and 1
to 2 to 3 mm in length. Plagioclase is also abundant, at 20 to 25%, and is 3 to 5 mm in length.
