Text Description:
unit A-top. 8 cm pumice fall; upper half of this deposit is light brown and more pumicious with some black denser juvenile clasts mixed in, tan pumices max = 2 cm with average of 5 mm; fines downward to an altered (orange) fine lapilli bed and then dramatically to pure black dense juvenile material; the black dense clasts in the lower portion (sample 104KWV-17-2) are 3 mm max with an average of 0.5-1 mm. This sample is of the tan upper part of unit A, the lower black portion is sample 04KWV-17-2. Veniaminof CFE #2 fall?
