Text Description:
Several fragments from a large block w/ notably abundant interstitial melt and melt along channels - which become fracture surfaces. Melt appears to be in zones up to several mm wide. Question is: what is relation of this melt to erupted magma/scoria/pumice? Is melt bleeding out of these bodies and comint straight to surface or is there another magma zone in between? Or is athe pumice magma acting as the transporter - the bus itself - and thus must have deeper source even though it is more silicic?
