Noatak basin sample 95AHa 022. Lens of pinkish tephra as much as 4 cm thick near the base of the silt near the north end of the bluff. Clear, platy glass shards with secondary but significant percentage of bubble-junction shards, both as much as 80-100 mm in diameter. Very few juvenile ferromagnesium phenocrysts are present in the tephra, but small, euhedral crystals of clinopyroxene and orthopyroxene and rare amphibole and biotite were identified in grain mounts.

Nk-2667.9-158.29997Unknown, Unknown Exposure Nk-26 is situated 8 km north of the Cutler River confluence and extends for 0.5 km along the east bank of the Noatak River, Alaska. The bluff intersects a depositional surface about 40 m high that is inset within the Cutler moraine.
