Westgate_2001_Sheep_Creek_Tephra_C_Average | 63.6 | -138.59998 | Westgate, J. A. | -78050-- | Sheep Creek tephra (SCt) refers to a family of tephra beds that closely resemble one another in their petrographic and compositional characteristics (Westgate et al. 2007). Sheep Creek-C tephra occurs at Dominion Creek, where it is found on the surface of a forest bed, exactly the same stratigraphic setting as at Ash Bend site. SCt-A (aka Ash Bend tephra) is also at Ash Bend, Yukon. Generic location selected near Dominion Creek, Yukon Territory, Canada. Glass geochemical data reported here is average calculated from analyses of multiple tephra correlated across different stratigraphic locations. Individual sample IDs are noted in the sample description (see Westgate et al. 2007 footnote of table 5). | The composition reported here is the average of two samples: UT2096, UT2109 | Westgate_2001_SCt-C | Tephra Fall | Cumulate | Glass | 76.82 | 0.15 | 13.43 | 1.05 | 0.04 | 0.24 | 1.28 | 3.8 | 3.02 | 4365 | EMP | 1.05 | Cl=0.19; H2O=5.7 | EMP |
