Ash_Bend63.5-137.267Preece, S. J. 80000 glass - FT; 4365; Age is approximate. Glass - FT and OSL.-78050--Ash Bend Section, Stewart River, Yukon Territory, Canada. Type section for the Reid glaciation and early Beringian Bison fossils. Located a few kilometers inside the outer limit of Reid drift, which was deposited during an extensive advance of the Cordilleran Ice Sheet across central Yukon Territory, Canada. The Reid till forms a prominent 10-m-high scarp within a thick, recessive sequence of glaciofluvial gravels at Ash Bend. Coordinates from Preece et al. (2011). Datum not specified, assumed to be NAD83.n.d. on deposit thickness; pumice, rare blocky shards, and rare bubble-wall shards; no data on stratigraphic location of deposit; field name HH-65-25.
