Ash_Bend63.5-137.267Preece, S. J. 80000 stratigraphy; 4365; Age is approximate. SCt-C and SCt-K must be similar in age to SCt-K because of their close stratigraphic association at Ash Bend section (from Westgate and others 2007).-78050--Ash Bend Section, Stewart River, Yukon Territory, Canada. Type section for the Reid glaciation and early Beringian Bison fossils. Located a few kilometers inside the outer limit of Reid drift, which was deposited during an extensive advance of the Cordilleran Ice Sheet across central Yukon Territory, Canada. The Reid till forms a prominent 10-m-high scarp within a thick, recessive sequence of glaciofluvial gravels at Ash Bend. Coordinates from Preece et al. (2011). Datum not specified, assumed to be NAD83.2 cm thick; pumice and less abundant blocky shards. Above peaty, organic-rich bed and below brown silt, 6.5 m below Sheep Creek-K tephra (UT2097).
