W. | 1975-01-01 | > 1420000 ± 160000 known unit; 10321; Weighted mean of three separate ages obtained on sample UT19; Sandhu and others (2001). | Along Bonanza Creek, Yukon Territory, Canada. Site 18 of Preece et al. (2000). 1 m thick silty clay overbank sediments overlying 1 m thick gravel resting on a well developed strath terrace (Archibald's Bench) at 37–42 m above Bonanza Creek, on the right bank, about 8 km upstream from the confluence with the Klondike River. Overbank sediments are overlain by 10 m of gravel. Section was destroyed during placer mining operations. | 2-cm-thick discontinuous bed with alluvium on an intermediate terrace of Bonanza Creek; consists mostly of bubble-wall glass shards with feldspar, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene and minor amounts of green or red amphibole, titanomagnetite, ilmenite, apatite and zircon(from Sandhu et al. 2001).
