97EC6A, 97EC6B, and 97EC6C are samples of the same ash deposit with multiple components (see Carson 1998 page 62). The top portion of the exposure consisted of-40 cm of strong brown silt. Sample A was a faint 2-cm layer of yellow silt underlain by 45 cm of strong brown silt.
